Haryana Sahitya Akademi will honour 22 litterateurs for their outstanding contribution in the field of literature at ‘Sahityakar Abhinandan Samaroh’ to be organised on July 14.
Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda would be the chief guest and Education Minister Geeta Bhukkal would preside over the function. Minister of State for Information, Public Relations and Cultural Affairs Shiv Charan lal Sharma and Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister KK Khandelwal would also grace the occasion.
Under National Honour Category, Aajiven Sahitya Saadhna Samman would be conferred upon recipient of Padam Bhushan, Gopal Das ‘Neeraj’ whereas Haryana Gaurav Samman would be given away to Kusum Khemani. Haryana Gaurav Samman (for the year 2012) and Aditya-Alhar Hasya Samman would be conferred upon Arun Jaimini and Ashok Chakrdhar respectively.
Under Haryana Samman Category, Mahakavi Surdass Samman would be conferred upon Madan Gopal Shastri, Babu Balmukund Gupt Samman upon Chandrakanta, lala Desh Bandhu Gupt Samman will be conferred upon Manmohan Gupta Moni, lakhmichand Samman will be given away to Acharya Mahabir Prasad Shastri, Jankavi Mehar Singh Samman will be conferred upon Yoginder Moudgil and Shresth Mahila Rachnakar Samman would be conferred upon Sudarshan Ratnakar.
Those who would be honoured with ‘Vishesh Sahitya Sevi Samman’ included Dr. Rajinder Mohan Bhatnagar, Dr. Baldev Vanshi, Dr. Amarnath Amar, Amarnath Sahni, Virender Goyal, Roop Devgun, Mahender Sharma and Anupam Mishr.
