Haryana on Tuesday reported 1,684 fresh cases of the Covid-19, which took the caseload in the State to 1,72,130, and with seven more fatalities, the Covid-19 death toll rose to 1,817.
Gurugram district reported 460 fresh cases while 296 in Faridabad, 189 in Hisar, 86 in Rewari, 70 in Rohtak, 62 in Bhiwani. Of the fresh fatalities, four were reported from Rohtak while one each from Gurugram, Karnal, Jhajjar, according to the state health department’s daily bulletin. A total of 1258 Covid-19 patients were released from different hospitals of the state after recovery, taking total count to 1, 56, 975.
Active cases in the State currently stand at 13,338 while the recovery rate was 91.20 per cent, the bulletin said.
ONE DEATH, 86 COVID POSITIVE CASES IN CHANDIGARH
Chandigarh on Tuesday reported one COVID-19 related death and 86 fresh positive cases. “228 residents have died due to the virus in the city till now. The total case tally stood at 14608 which included 629 active cases,” stated Chandigarh Health Department’s evening bulletin.
43 patients have recovered from the virus in the past 24 hours taking the total number of recoveries to 13751 in the union territory, the bulletin stated. Among 86 fresh positive cases, 46 were males and 40 were females. Till now, 110083 samples have been tested in the city. 629 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours and a report of 119 was awaited, the bulletin added.
