Haryana on Wednesday reported 217 new Covid-19 infections, the highest in many months, pushing the total tally to 773, 061 in the State. Gurugram and Faridabad continued to witness the surge in cases with Gurgaon getting 151 and Faridabad 30 fresh cases in the last 24 hours.
A health bulletin said the fresh Covid-19 cases tally, crossed the 200-mark in the last 24 hours after a gap of a few months. Seven Covid-19 cases each reported in Panchkula and Ambala, six cases each in Yamunanagar and Kurukshetra and three cases each in Karnal and Sonepat.
The total active cases in the state have risen nearly three-fold during the past week. The active cases in the State rose to 803 on December 29. The recovery rate was 98.59 per cent, the bulletin said.
