The Covid-19 death toll in Haryana rose to 1592 on Monday with 13 fatalities, while the infection tally reached 1,43,221 after 1066 more people tested positive for the disease, according to a health bulletin.
Of the 13 fatalities, three were reported from Hisar, two each from Sirsa, Bhiwani, and Jhajjar, and one each from Kurukshetra and Gurugram, the bulletin said. The districts which reported a big spike in COVID-19 cases are Gurugram (274), Faridabad (162), Rewari (64), Hisar (61), Kurukshetra (51), Sonipat (50) and Panchkula (47).
A total of 1225 patients were cured and released after their recovery from different hospitals of the state, taking the total count to 1,31,228. There are 10,401 active cases in Haryana and the recovery rate is 91.63 per cent.
