Haryana on Monday recorded four more Covid-19 fatalities, taking the death toll to 2989, while 119 new cases pushed the infection tally to 2,66,428, State health department bulletin stated.
A fatality each was reported from Hisar, Panchkula, Kurukshetra and Yamunanagar districts, it said. Among other districts to report new cases include Gurugram (32), Faridabad (21) and Sirsa (12). The number of active cases in the State stands at 1929, it said. A total of 2,61,510 people have so far been discharged after recovery, while the recovery rate is 98.15 per cent.
27 NEW CASES IN CHANDIGARH
27 fresh COVID-19 cases were detected in the union territory of Chandigarh on Monday taking the total infections to 20564. In the last 24 hours, no death has been reported in the city due to the virus. The death toll due to COVID-19 stood at 330, as per the Chandigarh Health Department’s evening bulletin. 201373 samples have so far been tested in the city. A total of 1002 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours and the report of 98 was awaited, the bulletin added.
