The Haryana Government has received two lakh affidavits in favour of having a separate Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) in the State and the State Government will soon take a decision in this regard, said Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Sunday.

Hooda said that the Committee headed by Finance Minister HS Chattha had received about two lakh affidavits in favour of having a separate SGPC in the State. The State Government would take the decision which would be in the best interest of the Sikhs in the State, said Hooda while addressing a press conference at Jind on Sunday.

When asked to comment on the issue raised by Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal with the Central Government concerning Haryana Government decision on formation of separate SGPC in the State, Hooda said that legal opinion on the issue was being sought by the State Government.

In reply to another question, Hooda said that the real contest in the forthcoming Vidhan Sabha Elections in the State would be between Congress and BJP whereas the INlD would be wiped out.He said that in the lok Sabha elections, the INlD managed to win two seats as they misguided the people of the State and sought votes in the name of Narender Modi.

He said that had the BJP contested both these seats on its own symbol, the INlD would have surely lost these seats too. Similarly, Chief Minister of Punjab Parkash Singh Badal had also sought votes by befooling the people that he would make the INlD candidate Minister at the Centre, said Hooda. On being asked to comment on the decision of party High Command that the next Vidhan Sabha Elections would be

contested under his leadership, the Chief Minister said that he was just a soldier of the Congress and has always worked for the development of the State and welfare of the people. He said that as the decision about the Chief Minister was taken by the legislators and Party High Command, if they both agree, then he would be the Chief Minister for the third consecutive term.
