The preliminary photo electoral rolls of all the Assembly constituencies in Haryana would be published on September 6, with reference to January 1, 2014 as qualifying date.
Chief Electoral Officer, Shreekant Walgad said the details of the voters included in the electoral rolls could be obtained through SMS on mobile number-9215156503 or from the website department www.ceoharyana.nic.in.
He said that any person whose name has not been entered in the electoral roll and who is not less than 18 years of age on the qualifying date of January 1, 2014, could apply to the concerned Electoral Registering Officers on form no. 6 by October 4, 2013. He said that the applicant has to attach two coloured passport size photographs alongwith age and domicile certificates.
If the name of any person has been removed due to any reason from the rolls, he would have to attach the photostat copy of his previous photo identity card also. For removal of wrong entries and correction of entries, the applicant could apply with form no.7 and 8 respectively by October 4, 2013.
Walgad said that all the forms would be made available free of cost at Polling Centres. For facilitating the common people, special campaign would be launched on September 15, 22 and 29 and concerned officers would be present on these dates at the Polling Stations to receive the applications from the people, he added.
