Haryana Power Dept gives another opportunity to consumers

Published on:

The Power Department of Haryana has provided another opportunity to the consumers to declare and extend the load without any penalty through voluntary disclosure scheme (VDS) of UHBVN & DHBVN.

This scheme will remain open to the consumers upto September 30, a spokesperson of the power utilities said.

Under the scheme, the consumers of domestic, commercial, small industries and agriculture categories can avail the benefits.

Under this scheme, the consumers are only required to deposit Advance Consumption Deposit (ACD) for extended load, application form and self declaration of wiring as per standards. No other affidavit/agreement/ proof of ownership is required to be submitted.

No additional cost is required wherever sufficient capacity is available in the Nigam system.

The regularisation of load is effected immediately on the submission of form and security and self declaration.

Similarly for farmers, the extension of load is also allowed to the users in case the original owner has expired.

Further in case any farmer has shifted his connection to another bore due to failure of original bore, no case of un-authorised use of electricity will be framed.

During the period of the scheme upto 30th September, no penalty for extension in load will be charged from the consumers.

However, the scheme is not available to the consumers who are defaulters and are not paying their electricity bills.
