In a major breakthrough, the Special Task Force (STF) of Haryana Police has arrested Sampat Nehra, one of the most wanted gangster belonging to lawrence Bishnoi gang, from Hyderabad on late Wednesday evening.
With more than two dozen criminal cases pending against him in Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan and Chandigarh, Nehra also carried cash reward of Rs 1lakh by Haryana Police and Rs 50,000 each by Rajasthan and Punjab Police.
Superintendent of Police (STF), Ashwin while talking to the mediapersons in Panchkula near here on Thursday said that following the instructions of DGP BS Sandhu, a team of STF Gurugram under the leadership of Inspector General of Police, Saurabh Singh and Deputy Inspector General of Police, Satish Balan had put all out efforts to arrest the accused Nehra, 28, a native of Kishangarh, Chandigarh and nabbed him from Venkataraman Colony, Sahibrabad in Hyderabad.
Ashwin said that the gangster, a permanent resident of Kalauri village in Churu district , Rajasthan was wanted for several heinous crime including 12 of murder, 6 of attempt to murder, two of prominent extortion, five of dacoity and robbery.
He was actively involved in contract killing. The notorious Sampat Nehra is a sharp shooter of lawrence Bishnoi gang who had been active in students’ politics.
lawrence Bishnoi gang was a most dreaded gang which is also active on social media like Facebook and Whatsapp. Gangster Sampat Nehra will be brought from Hyderabad on transit remand, said he.
The lawrence Bishnoi gang had also threatened to kill actor Salman Khan, he added.
