Haryana police has claimed to have solved a murder case within 12 hours. A spokesman of the Police department on Sunday said that the police has arrested two accused who had murdered Vikas at village Bhalkhi Majra, district Rewari on Saturday night. The police has arrested the accused from Dhani Santo, Rajasthan border and recovered a motorcycle, two pistols and six cartridges from their possession.
The accused who have been arrested include Jorawar alias Habdia, a resident of village Majra and Neeraj alias Neeria, a resident of village Kundal. The spokesman said that the deceased Vikas had undertaken the job of laying earth from village Majra to Kathuwas Railway line from lMT Company. He was residing in a rented accommodation at village Majra. On Saturday night, Jorawar and Neeraj visited Vikas’s house and wanted to strike a deal on the contract of earth laying work. On refusal by him, they shot Vikas who succumbed to his injuries.
After getting information, the police pursued the accused who had taken shelter in Jorawar’s house. Upon raid by the police, Jorawar fired on the police party and succeeded in fleeing. However, police continued the pursuit and with the help of information from sources, succeeded in arresting the accused from Dhani Santo, Rajasthan border along with the weapon. Seven cases stand registered against accused Jorawar of dacoity, attempt of murder, theft and causing hurt. While, two cases stand registered against accused Neeraj of snatching and attempt of murder, theft and causing hurt.
Meanwhile, in another case, Haryana Police has arrested two accused in Sonipat involved in hatching a fake car theft incident in order to get its claim from insurance company. Those arrested included Praveen, and Sandeep resident of district Hisar. A case has been registered against the accused in Gohana police station. On the Court directions, the two accused have been sent to jail from judicial custody.
