Haryana Government has planned to strengthen power supply infrastructure in all villages by laying a system of new technology so as to give safe and reliable power supply to all villages on urban mode.
Kiran Choudhry, Haryana Excise, Taxation and Public Health Minister on Sunday said that for taking power supply on urban mode, the villagers are required to reduce the aggregate technical and commercial losses (AT&C) to a level below 25 percent at their feeder. The new model of power supply would help reduce AT&C thus helping the villagers to bring down the losses to less than 25 percent enabling them to get power supply on urban mode. The new system is being laid with the consent of the villagers.
The hours of supply are being increased immediately after receiving the consent. Where 100 percent residents come forward to adopt the scheme, the village is declared as zero power cut. She said that the Government has decided to create the new distribution system in all villages, with the consent of the villagers to minimise interruptions in power supply, improve voltage, eliminate the problem of overloading of the system, minimise supply related complaints of consumers and minimise possibility of accidents.
She added that the new scheme of power supply has evoked enthusiastic response of the villagers. The Government has targeted to create this system in 1,000 villages by the end of this calendar year.
