Haryana Minister hits out at Delhi Chief Minister

Hitting back at the Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for blaming Haryana and Punjab for national capital’s smog problem, Haryana Minister Anil Vij said stubble burning in the two States cannot be fully blamed for the problem of air pollution.

Vij, while talking to mediapersons here on Wednesday said problem of pollution in Delhi had been there since long. This was why they (Delhi Government) had started the odd-even scheme, said he.

lashing out at Kejriwal, Haryana Health and Sports Minister Vij said blaming others for the problem would not help anyone. They (Delhi Government) have a habit of putting blame on others for their own shortcomings and failures, he said. “On one hand, lahore is blaming Punjab and Haryana for pollution problem and on the other, Delhi is blaming us… Winds do not blow in both directions. How they can blame us for thisIJ” said Vij.

AAP led Delhi Government should find a solution itself to the problem of severe air pollution, he added.

Following the toxic air which choked the national capital region (NCR) with visibility of lower than 300 metres on Tuesday, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal had blamed the burning of stubble in the adjoining states.

In the series of tweets, Kejriwal had shared the papers where Delhi Government had in August wrote letters to adjoining states for urging them to take steps to check crop burning.
