Haryana Minister Dhankar rides bicycle to office

With Haryana’s Millennium City— Gurgaon observing car-free day every Tuesday, Haryana Agriculture Minister OP Dhankar also decided to shun his car for a day and pedal to the workplace.

The Minister rode a bicycle all the way to Haryana Secretariat on Tuesday morning and then, pedaled his way to back home in the evening.

While talking to the mediapersons, Dhankar said that by coming to office on a bicycle, he wants to convey message to the youth to be concerned about their health and to contribute in reducing the air pollution.

The Minister added that in today’s hectic pace of life, the young generation has become careless about their health which is not right for their life.

While Dhankar was on way to his office riding on a bicycle, a passerby in a car sought directions from Dhankar to Punjab Chief Minister’s residence.

Notably, with ‘Odd-Even’ scheme rolling out in New Delhi this year, the Cabinet Ministers were also seen reaching the Central Secretariat in Delhi on motorbike, bicycle or through public transport.
