Haryana Minister Krishan Kumar Bedi has been caught in another row after he allegedly abused an official in a meeting held at Yamunanagar. Bedi, who is Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, during the public grievances meeting held in Yamunanagar apparently used abusive language against an officer of the civic body.
The Minister was caught on camera while abusing the official after asking his qualification during the meeting.
The incident comes as a major embarrassment to the ruling BJP in Haryana. Following this, the state opposition Congress and INlD terming the incident as unfortunate has criticized the BJP Minister and accused the BJP of failing to deal with the state machinery.
This is not the first time that Bedi is caught in a row. last year, the Minister was caught on tape while allegedly mocking the Prime Minister's pet 'Swachh Bharat' campaign, saying, “Don't know what all Modi will make us do.” In the video that went viral, Bedi was heard saying this as he held a broom in his hand while cleaning a ground in Fatehabad.
The Minister along with senior officials of Fatehabad District Administration was cleaning the ground at Panchayat Bhawan in Haryana's Fatehabad on the concluding day of a sanitation campaign there.
The same Minister was in the midst of another controversy when Kurukshetra's Civil Surgeon Vandana Bhatia had complained that Bedi had allegedly misbehaved with her over telephone, a charge which had been trashed by the Minister then.
