In a bid to promote Khadi in the State, all the officers and employees of Haryana Khadi and Village Industries Board has decided to come to the office in clothes made of Khadi from April 1.
A decision to this effect was taken in a meeting presided over by chairperson, Khadi and Village Industries Board, Gargi Kakkar in Panchkula near here.
It was also decided in the meeting that training programms would be organized in district Jind, Kurukshetra, Panipat and Gurugram so as to prepare new weavers and to provide training to the existing ones in latest technique. It was decided that till the finalization of permanent place, training would be imparted at looms situated at their places.
Apart from this, other organizations would also be requested to extend their cooperation in providing this training to the weavers.
Gargi said that talks have been initiated with various organizations regarding providing training to the weavers in latest technique and the training programme would soon be started.
