Haryana Government on Tuesday transferred 20,188 principals, trained graduate teachers (TGTs) and classical and vernacular (C&V) teachers under its online teachers’ transfer policy.
The transfers were made by Additional Chief Secretary, School Education Department, KK Khandelwal, with the click of a button at Shiksha Sadan in Panchkula near here.
The transferred teachers included 17,013 such teachers who had completed five years’ tenure in one place, 8,903 C&V teachers, 7543 TGTs and 567 Principals.
Under its teachers’ transfer policy 2016, Haryana Government had last month issued transfer orders of 6,743 teachers in the state. Out of the total transferred teachers, 4262 were PGT, 257 were headmasters in high schools and 2,224 were headmasters in elementary schools.
The teachers had been invited to mark their preference for school and place of posting through the MIS portal of the Department. As many as 192 teachers who had not marked their preferences were urged over the telephone to give their options, said Khandelwal.
He said the State Government would organise teacher welfare camps in all districts, so that they do not have to visit offices of the Department for redressal of their grievances. Senior officers of the Department would remain present in these camps, he added.
