With dead, dry and sagging trees posing a threat to commuters, Haryana Government has decided to immediately remove such trees from roads and other places in the state.
“The dead and dry trees may cause hindrance in smooth flow of traffic or pose danger to life or property. Hence, the State Government has launched a WhatsApp number for people to send information regarding such trees in the state,” said an official spokesman.
The spokesman added that the recent rain and high velocity winds in the state has also uprooted trees or brought down trees branches which could cause damage to properties, he said.
He said that details of such trees may be sent on WhatsApp number 8278276564. The details should include the name of the road, location, site, name of district and photographs of the site, he added.
