To improve the quality of education in Haryana, the State Government would conduct an inspection of low performing schools for next three months to help replicate good academic practices there.

Haryana Education Minister, Ram Bilas Sharma said that officers of the Department would inspect low performing schools and good academic practices prevailing in other better performing schools would be replicated in such schools also.

The Minister said instructions to this effect have been issued to all District Education Officers, District Elementary Education Officers, Deputy District Education Officers, Block Education Officers and Block Elementary Education Officers in the state.

He said that the primary objective of the school inspections under Academic Monitoring System (AMS) is to bring the low performing schools on track.

To help officers identify low performing schools, the Department had created a priority list of low performing schools for each block based on March 2016 assessment test and Class X Board examination results. A mix of elementary and secondary schools which have not so far been visited in academic year 2016-17 has been prioritised, said the Minister.

He said that the district level officers would have to conduct inspections in at least four visits per month whereas block level officers would have to conduct inspections in at least eight visits per month. All the officers have been strictly directed to inspect schools in the order specified in the priority list, from September to November.
