The Government has decided to constitute a Board for registration of orphanages and shelter homes running in the State.
A proposal to this effect has been approved by the Chief Minister Manohar lal.
Giving more details, Women and Child Development Minister, Kavita Jain on Friday said in order to keep children safe in orphanages and shelter homes being run by the organisations and trusts, the registration of such children was being ensured under the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015, but there was no registration procedure of shelter homes and orphanages giving shelter to women.
The Minister said that the State Government would soon issue notification regarding constitution of this Board.
