The Haryana Government has decided to celebrate Sant Kabir Das Jayanti in all 22 districts of the State from June 25 to July 1. District-level functions will be organised across the State and various dignitaries would preside over these events, said an official spokesman.
He said Speaker, Haryana Vidhan Sabha, Kanwar Pal Gujjar would be the chief guest at Sant Kabir Das Jayanti function to be organised at district Panipat. Similarly, Deputy Speaker, Santosh Yadav would be the chief guest at Palwal.
Education Minister Ram Bilas Sharma would be the chief guest at Bhiwani, Finance Minister Capt Abhimanyu at Jind, Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister, OP Dhankar at Kaithal, Health Minister, Anil Vij at Yamunanagar, Public Works (Building and Roads) Minister, Rao Narbir Singh at Jhajjar, Urban local Bodies Minister, Kavita Jain at Rohtak, Transport Minister Krishan lal Panwar at Sonipat and, Industries and Commerce Minister, Vipul Goel would be chief guest at Faridabad.
The spokesman added where the dignitaries are unable to attend the function, the Deputy Commissioner of the district concerned will preside over the function.
MlAs have been also asked to attend the functions. Apart from this, under the ‘Mahasampark Abhiyan’ of BJP, the Ministers and MlAs will reach out to the general public to apprise them about the schemes of Central as well as State Government besides highlighting the Government’s achievements during the Kabir Jayanti celebrations.
