Haryana Government is all set to start the fifth batch of the Chief Minister’s Good Governance Associates (CMGGA) Programme from July 21, after its success in the last four years.
The programme was envisioned by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, in 2016 to bring young professionals to work with the government and improve the public service delivery in Haryana.
Over the last four years, 100 young professionals have worked with the Chief Minister's office in implementing some of the biggest flagship programmes including Antyodaya Saral, Saksham Haryana, Haryana roadways and grievance management through CM Window. The new batch will get an opportunity to work on different projects such as on improving sex ratio of the state, organ donation and transplantation, anemia reducation as well as solid waste management in Haryana.
Program Director of CMGGA, Dr. Rakesh Gupta, from the Chief Minister’s Office in Haryana said that the programme was launched to encourage young professionals to work directly with the Government in ensuring efficiency and transparency in citizen service delivery across the state.
He said amidst the Covid-19 situation, it is important to keep the program going and supporting the state and district administration in every way possible. The application process for the fifth batch has thus started online, and is inviting applications from across the country. The interviews will also be conducted online in the month of June and final selected candidates would resume work from July 21.
He said that the CMGGAs of the current 2019-20 batch have provided crucial support to the district administration in covid19 crisis management by ensuring distribution of food supply, movement pass management over Saral portal, maintenance and services across shelter homes, online social media management offering psychological support to the citizens.
The current batch of CMGGAs are working from the district headquarters itself with full attention to the district’s strategy in helping citizens in the crisis situation.
