From now onwards, the students in Government schools of Haryana would not participate in any functions except I- Day and Republic day.
In the orders issued by Haryana Education Department, the district education officers have been asked to ensure that the students do not participate in any functions except Independence day and Republic day celebrations.
The orders stated, “This has been done to ensure that the students of Government schools do not face any inconvenience and their studies do not suffer. Apart from Independence day and Republic day functions, the students can attend the functions organised by schools authorities and the concerned authorities would be responsible to ensure safety of the students in such functions,” added the orders.
An official of the state Education Department said, “It has been observed that the studies of students suffer a lot due to their participation in various functions. Thus, the State Government has decided that the students would not participate in any function except the Independence day and Republic day celebrations from now onwards.”
