The Haryana Government has allocated Rs3,761.20 crore, which is 20.90 per cent of the State’s Net Plan Outlay, under the Scheduled Castes Sub Plan in the Annual Plan 2013-14, said Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Saturday.
He was attending a function to celebrate the 122nd birth anniversary of Baba Saheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar.
He said the Government has already launched a scheme ‘Dr Ambedkar Medhavi Chhatra Yojana’ under which meritorious students belonging to the community of Scheduled Castes are given annual scholarships ranging from Rs4,000 to Rs12,000.
