Haryana Government has reinstated IPS Ashok Kumar, who was suspended in February after the registration of an FIR against him following a spat with state’s Home Minister Anil Vij’s brother.
“The Governor of Haryana is pleased to reinstate Ashok Kumar, IPS in service with immediate effect and posted as Deputy Inspector General of Police, State Vigilance Bureau, Ambala, Haryana,” stated an order issued by Haryana Home Department on Thursday.
Haryana police had earlier registered an FIR against DIG Ashok Kumar on the complaint of state Home Minister’s brother Kapil Vij, accusing the officer of assaulting and intimidating him.
