The Haryana Government on Saturday directed 575 builders or coloniser licensees to get the sale deeds or conveyance deeds registered within 20 days, in favour of the respective plot, flat, shop and space holders from whom registration charges stand collected.
A spokesman of the Town and Country Planning Department said a number of complaints have been received at the Chief Ministers (CM) Window and also to the Department from the allottees alleging that “colonizers have collected a huge amount from the allottees on account of registration charges or stamp duty for executing sale deeds of the plot, flat, shops and office space in their favour, but said sale deeds or conveyance deeds have not been registered till date”.
The spokesman said the amount so collected has been retained by them in an illegal manner and were using it for their benefit. He said that after complying with these directions, they would also submit detailed information of cases where sale deeds were executed and where documents were not registered in a prescribed format within 30 days.
