After the ‘tweet trouble’ stirred by Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij in the past ten days, the State Government is now treading cautiously on the issues and programmes related to Vij’s Department.
A day after the Haryana BJP in-charge Anil Jain claimed that there are no differences between Anil Vij and Chief Minister Manohar lal, the Government is now making sure that the incident like Sunday’s ‘Khelega Haryana-Badega Haryana campaign’ is never repeated again.
Khattar had on Sunday launched the State Government’s ‘Khelega Haryana-Badega Haryana’ campaign at district and participated in a symbolic marathon run while Vij was not present at both the events related to his departments.
Vij, who was in Kerala at that time, was apparently upset with the CM, who has in the recent times launched programmes and schemes pertaining to the Department handled by the former.
The Sunday’s event had resulted in tweets posted by Vij that left his party and the government red-faced. Vij had posted on Twitter, “Thank You Chief Minister For Taking Keen Interest into My Departments. I am Relaxed,", hinting at his displeasure over Chief Minister Manohar lal showing "interest" in his departments.
It was also believed that some senior bureaucrats are in fact ignoring Vij and there have been instances when the Chief Minister announced projects related to Vij’s departments, but the Minister was not informed in time. Now, after the political upheaval in the past ten days, the Government is taking no chance to upset the Health Minister.
Another function has been organized on February 22 where a mini-marathon promoting new sports policy will be organized at Ambala and both Chief Minister and Health Minister would be present there, said a state’s spokesperson on Thursday.
The Health Minister has already issued directions to his departments to apprise him about all the events of his departments and keep him in the loop before finalizing any event. The senior bureaucrats have been specially directed to ensure that Vij is apprized beforehand about all important events of his departments.
Vij on Thursday said that such types of functions are being organized to encourage youth towards the new sports policy launched by the state government. The function on February 22 would play significant role in keeping youngsters healthy. Also, it would be a special step under ‘Khel Sabke liye’, he added. A day before, BJP state in-charge Anil Jain played the role of peacemaker and tried to pacify the ongoing cold war between Khattar and Vij.
Since the formation of BJP led state government in Haryana, Vij has remained vocal about his opinion on various issues. Taking a dig, without referring to anyone, at his own Government, Vij, in another tweet, had said that he was not in politics to push the cart of the Congress party. This was linked to his being upset that the BJP Government was following too many policies of the previous Congress Government in Haryana.
