Following cases of immigration fraud, Haryana Government on Wednesday advised people, who wish to visit abroad, to complete all the formalities through registered and authorised agents.
Details of registered and authorised agents are available on the website of Union Ministry of External Affairs. People interested in going abroad should visit foreign countries after completing all the formalities through the agents registered by the Government, said an official spokesman.
He said that strict action would be taken against unauthorised and non-registered agents who found involved in illegal practices of sending people abroad in the State.
Such non-registered and unauthorised agents used to take money from people for sending them illegally to foreign countries which caused risk to money and life of the citizens, he said.
The spokesman added that as per directions of the Punjab and Haryana High Court, the list along with contact numbers of all the registered and authorised agents is available on the website of Union Ministry of External Affairs.
