To bring transparency in the transfer process of employees in Government schools, Haryana Government has drafted a new transfer policy under which Government schools in the State have been classified into seven zones on the basis of their area type and geographical location.
This would ensure that students do not have to suffer due to frequent transfer of employees, said Haryana Education Minister Ram Bilas Sharma on Thursday.
He said that the draft policy has been made available on the website of Department of School Education. All stakeholders have been requested to submit their objections along with justification and evidence latest by February 19, he added.
The Minister said that zone-1 would comprise schools located within municipal area of the city of district headquarters and zone-2 would include schools located within 10 km radius starting from the boundary of the Municipal Area of district Headquarters.
Similarly, zone-3 would include schools located in the city or town of educational block headquarters except those which are co-located with district headquarters, zone-4 would include schools located on the state highways or national highways between 10 km and 15 km outside the Municipal area of the district headquarters, zone -5 would include schools located within the radius of 5 km of block headquarters.
Central point for this zone would be main bus stand of the city. Zone -6 would have schools located between the radius of 5 to 10 km of block headquarters, the central point being the bus stand of the city, and zone -7 would have all remaining schools located in the farthest area and not covered in other categories, he said. =
