Haryana Government has constituted a task force under the chairmanship of State Haryana Agriculture Minister to identify the challenges and opportunities of agriculture sector.
The task force has been constituted in pursuance of decision taken in the first meeting of the Governing Council of NITI Aayog held on February 8.
A spokesman of Haryana Planning Department said that the task force would submit the report by May 31 so that the final report may be sent to NITI Aayog by June 15.
He said that the task force would identify the challenges and opportunities of agriculture sector and would chalk out strategies to improve social profile of the state. It would also recommend
strategies for re-invigorating agriculture in all its aspects and would formulate strategies for reforms, innovations
and technology diffusion. Apart from this, it would also assess the innovative initiatives and recommend their replication and up-scaling.
