Haryana Forest Department has decided to provide e–delivery of two citizen services including permission for felling of trees and grant of no-objection-certificate in respect of Punjab land Preservation Act, 1900/Forest or Restricted lands.
A spokesman of the Department said that Union Communication and Information Technology Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad would launch e-Delivery of 20 citizen services of 101 Departments which have been included in the Haryana Right to Service Act, 2014 at Indradhanush Auditorium, Panchkula on February 27.
He said that the Forest Department, in consultation with National Informatics Centre (NIC) and HARTRON, had developed, tested and hosted a web-based user-friendly application so that people in all districts in Haryana could easily avail these two services.
People could access these services through government-citizen interface on the website www.haryanaseva.gov.in through Common Service Centre (CSC) and e-Disha Centres. However, while the Department would not charge any fee for e-Delivery of these services, the people would have to pay service charge of Rs 30 plus taxes as stipulated by the Government, if they submitted their application at these Centres, said he.
He said that these services could also be availed through the Divisional Forest Office without any charges. Divisional Forest Officer in the district concerned has been made Designated Officer for providing e-Delivery of these services.
The launch of e-Delivery of these citizen services would help in digital penetration and empowerment at grassroots level. As the initiative ensures minimum physical interface of the applicant and reduces travel burden, it is expected to lead to a responsive and transparent system of governance, said he.
The spokesman said that this innovative e-Governance initiative would be showcased in an exhibition at the inauguration ceremony, during which live presentation and demonstration of the e-Delivery would be carried out.
He added that the Department is already providing e-Citizen service for online submission and monitoring of Forest and Wildlife clearance proposals through a user-friendly web-based portal www.forestsclearance.nic.in, which has been developed by NIC and is being hosted by the Union Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change.
