Haryana Sarv Karmchari Sangh, an umbrella organization of employee unions in the state, has alleged that the thousands of employees were not able to vote on May 12.
In a letter written to Chief Election Commissioner, New Delhi and Haryana Chief Electoral officer, Haryana Sarv Karmchari Sangh has submitted a complaint in this regard.
SK Lamba, general secretary, Haryana Sarv Karmchari Sangh in the letter has stated that as per election rules, the employees on election duty are given form 12 to cast postal votes in designated centres. But, thousands of employees did not receive the postal vote forms and were not able to cast their votes, he said.
The EC should seek details of how many government employees had applied for postal ballot and how many received it. Apart from this, action should be taken against election officers who failed to ensure that the government employees cast their vote on the polling day, he said.
An inquiry should also be conducted to check whether this was done in connivance of Haryana Government, he demanded.
