Haryana Education Minister Geeta Bhukkal on Thursday paid a surprise visit to Government Senior Secondary School in Sultanpur and tasted the mid-day meal being given to the children. She also checked the storage facilities and the quality of raw material.
Expressing satisfaction over the food, Bhukkal asserted that the school administrations all over the State have been asked to ensure that hygienically cooked food is served to the students adding that no laxity would be tolerated. Terming Bihar tragedy as an eye opener, she claimed that she would tour the State to personally check the mid-day meal being given in the schools adding that separate staff has been provided to prepare the food.
