To restrict entry of outsiders in the Government colleges, Haryana Education Department will issue identity cards to both students and teachers in all Government colleges across the State.
Haryana Education Minister Geeta Bhukkal said that students and teachers in Government colleges would now have to carry their identity card without which they would not be able to enter the premises. “Entry into colleges will be allowed only after producing I-cards,” she added.
Identity cards would be made soon for all the students and teachers and issued to them, said she while adding that the state government and the Education Department were constantly taking effective measures to provide better educational environment to the students in educational institutes.
Earlier, Bhukkal had announced the scheme to install CCTV cameras in all Government colleges in the State.
On the issue of giving recognition to private schools, Bhukkal said that action was being taken against such private schools which did not fulfill the norms required for Government recognition. Schools are run in houses and shops. These have reduced education to business and are playing with the future of children.
The Minister also urged parents and guardians not to admit their children in non-affiliated schools. They should get their children admitted in Government schools or recognised schools.
