The Haryana Government on Monday stated that a committee has been constituted under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary DS Dhesi for re-fixation of criteria of re-employment of Government employees after their superannuation.
After the approval from this committee, the matter would not be required to be taken to Council of Ministers meeting (CMM).
The orders in this regard was issued from Chief Secretary’s office on Monday and sent to all administrative secretaries and Head of Departments.
An official spokesperson said that when seeking applications for re-employment, the Administrative Department would be required to prescribe the upper age limit for re-employment as 63 years so that officials can serve for atleast two years i.e. till the age of 65 years.
He said that, the Haryana Services (Government Employees Conduct) Rules 2016 and Haryana Civil Services (Punishment and Appeal) Rules, 2016 would be applicable on such contractual appointments.
The State Government had recently issued guidelines for every department in respect of re-employment after the age of 58 years as per the decision taken in the Haryana Cabinet meeting earlier.
The services of certain categories or classes of officials would be allowed beyond age of retirement for a maximum period of two years only for departments involved in maintaining law and order, regulatory work, work of administrative importance, infrastructure development and public utilities, as per the decision of Haryana Cabinet.
Extension would be proposed only if eligible candidate is not available for the promotion post from feeder cadre for at least two years. Good service record would be non-negotiable. Majority of ACRs of the officials should be good or above and there should be no pending disciplinary action, the spokesman added.
