Haryana State Cooperative Supply and Marketing Federation has decided to give ten percent discount on the retail sale rate of its consumer products to Government employees.
The discount will be applicable to employees of Haryana Government, Central Government, UT Chandigarh, Armed or Para Military Forces, Public Sector Banks, Centre or Haryana State Funded Universities, Public Sector Undertakings including employees of Boards and Corporation, employees of member Cooperative Societies of Hafed and Cooperative Federations, said a spokesman of Hafed.
He said that this concession would be available at Hafed’s own sale outlets in the state, including Chandigarh and Delhi.
The initiative has been taken for the welfare of Government employees, to boost sales and broaden the customer base in the prevailing competitive market, the spokesman said.
He said, ten per cent concession is allowed for Hafed consumer products which include rice, edible oils, atta, dalia on showing the employee’s office identity card.
A separate account of officials or officers would be maintained at sale outlets and entry would be made on the bill itself with mentioning of I-card number of employee’s along with the name of Department. An employee would be allowed the concession on Hafed consumer products at the Hafed outlets in the district of his or her posting by showing a valid office I-Card, he added.
