Haryana CM blames previous Govts for uneven development

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar lal on Saturday blamed the previous Governments in the State for uneven development in the State.

Speaking at a function in Jind, he said the earlier Chief Ministers lacked the spirit of “working for all”, adding that though he has been elected as legislator from Karnal

assembly constituency, he made it clear to the people that all districts would be equally taken care of in terms of development.

“In case, if priority is to be given, the areas which are lagging behind would be given preference. One who deserves should get it,” said the Chief Minister adding that though district Jind is considered as backward, there are many other districts including Mewat, Kaithal and Fatehabad which also fall in the

similar category. Initially, such districts would be picked up for development and all facilities like education, health, irrigation, power, roads and other infrastructure would be provided.

He said that there is not dearth of funds for development of the State. The plan and non-plan budget of the State is Rs 80,000 crore.

One assembly constituency gets about Rs 900 crore and if the entire budget is spent judiciously, all round development of the State could be ensured.
