Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Friday appealed to the protesting farmers to hold negotiations with the Central Government on the issue of three farm laws.
“Dialogue is the only solution to the ongoing protest. It’s been more than nine months since they (farmers) have been protesting,” said Khattar while talking to the mediapersons here.
He said that the farmers should not remain adamant over their demands and should hold negotiations with the Central Government.
Notably, thousands of farmers have been camping at three border points of Delhi – Singhu, Tikri (along Haryana), and Ghazipur (along Uttar Pradesh) for nine months now - demanding a repeal of the three farm laws enacted by the Central Government in September last year.
The farmers have also been holding protests against the leaders of BJP and its ally JJP across Haryana. Since November last year, the farmers have held strong protests against the Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala, BJP state chief OP Dhankar, ruling MPs and MLAs in the state.
