Even as Haryana Government is struggling to curb female foeticide in the state, Chief Minister Manohar lal on Thursday flayed the neighbouring Uttar Pradesh Government for failing to keep a check on growing number of cases of sex determination tests.
“Only if the UP Government showed seriousness, such incidents could be curbed. Officers of Haryana Government have exposed many such cases in UP,” said the Chief Minister at a public meeting organised in Chhaprauli, Baghpat in UP.
Before the upcoming UP assembly polls, the Chief Minister slammed the UP Government for not taking seriously the issue of female foeticide.
Haryana has been battling skewed sex ratio for a long time.
