Government to provide job to younger brother of martyr
In an exceptional gesture, the Haryana Cabinet decided to give a Government job to the younger brother of martyr lt Satbir Singh, who was killed in a terrorist attack in Manipur on March 18, 2009.
late lt Satbir Singh was the son of Man Singh and belonged to village Thua, tehsil Alewa in district Jind in Haryana. As Satbir was unmarried, his father had requested that his younger son Sandeep be given a job on compassionate grounds. Sandeep’s qualification is B.A, B.Ed and JBT.

Though giving job to younger son of Man Singh does not come under this policy, yet this being an exceptional case, the Cabinet gave relaxation in rules to provide employment to the younger brother of the martyr.
Deaflympics included in Haryana Sports policy
To boost morale of differently-abled sportspersons in Haryana, the Government also decided to include ‘Deaflympics’ in its sports policy so that the Deaflympian medalists would be able to get cash rewards, jobs and other benefits.
The Deaflympics (previously called World Games for the Deaf and International Games for the deaf) is an International Olympic Committee sanctioned event in which deaf athletes compete at an elite level.
The Cabinet also gave its approval for merger of technical posts of constables except that of Operators and Technicians of Telecommunications wing into the General cadre in the State police department.
