Haryana Education Kanwar Pal on Wednesday said following the directions of the Central Government, the exam of Class XII of Haryana School Education Board has been cancelled.
The State Government will conduct an internal assessment based on which the results will be declared for class XII soon. Also, the result of class X exam will be declared by June 15, he said.
The Education Minister said due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the situation is not conducive for conducting the examination. But if a child wants to take the examination, then the examination can be conducted for such students when the circumstances are normal, he added. A day before, the Central Government had announced the cancellation of this year’s CBSE Board examination for class XII students following a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The results will be compiled as per “a well-defined objective criteria”, the government had said. However, if a student wants to appear for the examination, the CBSE will provide an option once the situation becomes conducive.
