Haryana BJP Government complete failure: Hooda

Published on:

Describing the three-year tenure of BJP Government in Haryana as “Teen Saal, Haryana Behaal”, former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Thursday said that the Manohar lal Khattar Government has failed on all fronts.

Be it the construction of Sutlej Yamuna link canal, law and order situation, development works or fulfilling poll promises, the BJP Government has done nothing on all such issues, alleged Hooda while talking to the mediapersons here.

lashing out at the State Government, Hooda said that there is no law and order in Haryana.

Reacting to the statement of Chief Minister Manohar lal that there was a political conspiracy behind the three violent incidents in the state, the senior Congress leader said that it was BJP government’s failure to handle issues related to the Jat reservation, the Dera violence on August 25 and self-styled godman Rampal.

“The number of people who died during the Jat reservation, Dera violence and Rampal incidents were far more than those killed in Jammu and Kashmir in a firing by security forces,” Hooda claimed.

The two-time former Chief Minister also demanded an inquiry by a sitting High Court judge  to unravel the conspiracy behind the incidents of arson and violence in Haryana following the conviction of Dera Sacha Sauda sect chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh in rape cases.

Hitting out at the Chief Minister Manohar lal on the issue of unemployment, Hooda, who was accompanied by  Congress MlAs, alleged that rather than creating avenues for employment the present government had created an army of unemployed youths.

On Chief Minister’s claims that 3.13 lakh persons have been provided employment in private sector, Hooda said that all such claims are false. More than a lakh people lost their jobs in Faridabad and other areas after demonetisation and GST, added he.

Seeking the resignation of BJP Government, the former Chief Minister also challenged the BJP government to test its popularity by going for a mid-term poll.

This is an inexperienced government which blames bureaucrats for its failure… The people have lost faith in BJP, he added.

Terming BJP Government as an “event management company”, Hooda said that they only celebrated various occasions like Gita Jayanti, Swarna Jayanti and  spent Rs 1,600 crore of public money to propagate its “lies”. On the issue of Sutlej Yamuna link canal, he said the BJP has failed to construct the SYl canal even after Court orders.

Seeking to immediately withdraw government’s decision to de-notify the Dadupur Nalvi canal project, Hooda said that if this was not done it would turn the state into a desert.

He further alleged that all sections of society - farmers, labourers, traders and employees are unhappy with the functioning of the inexperienced government in Haryana.

This government is a “blot” on Haryana and has vitiated the brotherhood existing in the state, he added.

On BJP Government’s claim to curb corruption during their tenure, Hooda claimed that the three years of the BJP was full of scams, including those in revenue assessment, fertiliser purchase, seeds, Gurgaon Metro and hydel projects and even in recruitments.

Hooda added that the Khattar Government has even failed to implement its  promises in the election manifesto.

Reactions of other leaders on BJP’s three years tenure

leader of opposition and INlD’s senior leader Abhay Chautala while terming BJP led Haryana Government’s three years tenure as “complete failure” said that this government did nothing but making false promises and betraying the people of the state. The law and order situation is deteriorating, there is unemployment, farmers are suffering, traders and businessman are affected due to demonetization and GST, but still the BJP Government is celebrating completion of its three years term in office, said Chautala.

Haryana Congress chief Ashok Tanwar said that since the BJP government has been formed in Haryana, the state has become weak in economic, social and political form. For the last 3 years, the people of Haryana have been pressurized and oppressed. Haryana was burned three times in 3 years. There was no foreign investment by the industrialists and no jobs were created and the Chief Minister Manohar lal has sold the interests of Haryana to save his chair.

Kiran Choudhry, leader of the Haryana Congress legislature Party (ClP) has branded the three-year rule of the Manohar lal Khattar Government as “36 months of lack of governance” marked by three shameful incidents of mass killings, total lawlessness leading to spurt in cases of lynching, rape, murder and ransom, deepening agrarian crisis driving many farmers to commit suicide, restive employees, and the man in the street rueing his decision to vote for the BJP. The farmers are suffering; youth faces joblessness; employees are upset over promises not kept; girls and women feel insecure; business an uncertain future; and the man in the street spiralling prices, she added.
