To expedite the implementation of projects worth more than Rs 100 crore in the state, Haryana Government on Wednesday appointed nodal officers of various departments. Haryana Chief Secretary Sanjeev Kaushal, presiding over the meeting with the nodal officers for monitoring projects worth more than Rs 100 crore, said that these nodal officers, designated for projects carried out by each department which are costing more than Rs 100 crore, will serve as the project's only liaison officer and be in charge of all communications.
He said that the nodal officers are crucial to the success of any project and they should make strenuous efforts to complete their work before the deadline. Every project can be completed at a faster pace with mutual coordination, so if there is more than one nodal officer in any department, they should work in coordination. He also directed the officers to send a planned report in a stipulated time frame.
Kaushal also asked the nodal officers to form a WhatsApp group to provide all the information in a timely manner so as to avoid any delay in communication in future and to ensure accountability of all the nodal officers.
