Haryana AAP warns workers against misuse of letterhead

In a bid to discipline its members, Haryana unit of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Sunday warned its rank and file against convening meetings at the district level using the party’s letterhead without prior approval from higher-ups.

“No worker or member is authorised to convene a meeting of party activists without prior permission from the district or state executive committee,” said state unit spokesman Rajeev Godara, amid reports that several newly-inducted members have been convening meetings and giving statements to the media on several issues.

No party worker is permitted to make statements without prior permission from the executive committee, he said.  He said former police officer Ranveer Sharma, who had recently joined the AAP, too had been calling workers’ meets by misusing party’s letterhead, and making statements without prior permission from higher-ups.

“Such acts are against the party’s policies and principles,” he said, cautioning party members to stop such activities immediately.
