Haryana State Co-operative Supply and Marketing Federation limited (Hafed) is expected to earn a profit of around Rs 125 crores (before tax) during the financial year 2016-17 which is double the profit as compared with the profit of Rs 53.64 crores (before tax) earned during the financial year 2015-16. After reviewing the performance of Hafed for the year 2016-17, Chairman, Hafed, Harvinder Kalyan on Thursday said that it gave him great pride to inform that during Haryana’s Golden Jubilee year celebrations, Hafed has achieved its highest ever profit. This is a milestone achievement for Hafed during its Golden Jubilee year since Hafed also came into existence in 1966, he added.
Kalyan said that Hafed now proposes to further strengthen its core competence for the benefit of farmers of the state. While Hafed had expanded its activities and the area of operation to serve the consumers across India by providing hygienic and safe quality consumer products, it would further expand its agro processed consumer product range while focusing on marketing, said he.
Hafed plays a leading role in serving the economic interests of the farmers of the state by providing efficient and timely marketing support and safe warehousing.
