Governor Acharya Devvrat and Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh have mourned the death of lance Naik Om Prakash, who was killed while fighting the terrorists at Pampore in Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday.
In a message to the bereaved family, the Governor has conveyed his heart-felt condolences to the bereaved family members.
He prayed to the almighty to grant peace to the departed soul and give strength to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.
In his condolence message, Virbhadra Singh said he was pained to know that another soldier from Himachal Pradesh sacrificed his life fighting valiantly with the terrorists at Pampore.
He said the soldier who hailed from Shimla district, laid down his life for the cause of the nation and would always be remembered for this supreme sacrifice. He said the last rites would be performed with full state honour.
