The Punjab education department on Wednesday issued a set of guidelines to streamline school academics underlining that teachers would not be deputed at any other offices for clerical work.
The directions have been issued, on the instructions of state Education Minister Daljit Singh Cheema, to all the Circle Education Officers, District Education Officers and School Heads to refrain from deputing any teacher on clerical work at DEO, DPI, DGSE, SCERT etc. The move came after major loopholes in the working of school administration have come to the fore following periodic checking.
