Haryana Government would invite Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the rally, which is likely to be organised on November 1 in the State. On the occasion, the State Government is likely to announce 50 big projects as a part of golden jubilee year celebrations of Haryana.

A Cabinet meeting has been convened on July 20 to give approval to a number of plans chalked out by Haryana Government for the celebrations.

A Committee has already been constituted by the Haryana Government under the chairmanship of Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Krishan Kumar Bedi for inviting suggestions to celebrate the golden jubilee year as a special festival in the State.

The Government has also planned to constitute Golden Jubilee Organising Committee, Executive Committee and Managing Committee in which a Minister and senior bureaucrats would be involved to decide the further roadmap of the celebrations.

The State Government has planned massive public meetings to celebrate golden jubilee and to take BJP’s two years achievements to various corners of Haryana in November.

The 62-year-old Manohar lal Khattar had taken oath as the first Chief Minister of the BJP Government in the State on October 26 in 2014.

Under its big plans for celebrations, the BJP led State Government has decided to set up golden jubilee pillars and plaques in villages and names of freedom fighters, martyrs, sports persons, educationists and other dignitaries of the village would be inscribed on them.

Besides, golden jubilee gates would be erected in districts of the state bordering neighbouring states. Also, all Government buildings would be illuminated on November 1.

Apart from this, exhibitions, cultural functions like Haryanavi folk programme or Kavi Sammelan would be organised in various districts. The Gita Jayanti Samaroh to be held in December in Kurukshetra would be celebrated at an international level as a part of golden jubilee festival.

A special two-day session of Haryana Assembly would also be convened to discuss the golden jubilee year. The Government has planned to invite all those who had become Members of Parliament and MlAs after 1966 in the special golden jubilee session of Vidhan Sabha.

Haryana State was formed on 1 November 1966. The State was carved out of the former State of East Punjab on a linguistic basis.

Notably, following the completion of one year tenure last October, the Manohar lal Khattar Government had launched a special fortnight programme in all districts of Haryana to apprise the public about its achievements.
