Expressing satisfaction over the achievements of the one-year tenure of the present State Government to be completed on October 26, 2015, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar lal on Friday said that it is committed to ensure the uniform development of all 21 districts of the state, unlike the previous governments.

He said that the Government is marching ahead in the right direction and assured that the pace of development would be further accelerated in the time to come.

Manohar lal while addressing a gathering after laying the foundation stone of PWD Rest House in Panchkula said that during this about one-year tenure, the State Government has achieved a number of milestones in various spheres.

While stating that a lot is yet to be achieved, the Chief Minister said that during the last 48 years since the inception of Haryana, development in the state remained directionless and anomalous. But, the present State Government would ensure uniform development of all 21 districts of the state as per their requirement, he asserted.

The Chief Minister said that the new PWD Rest House to be set up over an area of three acres would be of the capital level.

The Rest House would be completed within a period of 21 months at a cost of Rs 26.42 crore. The four-storey building would have three blocks in which block-A would have Governor and CM Suite, six VIP Suites and 59 officers’ rooms whereas block-B would have a meeting hall, conference room, dining hall, committee room and gymnasium. Similarly, block-C would have 18 twin-sharing rooms and 19 dormitories.

Manohar lal said that being adjacent to Chandigarh, there is a need to have a Government building in Panchkula to cater to the needs of the people of the area and the government officers coming from different parts of the state.

He described Panchkula, Chandigarh and Mohali as a cluster of cities whose development is being ensured by Haryana Government, Chandigarh Administration and Punjab Government at their respective levels.

He added that transparent administration, zero tolerance against corruption and ensuring the reach of benefits of various schemes and programmes up to the last person in the row are the three top priorities of the State Government.
