Give crushing defeat to AAP, Cong: Badal to people

Slamming the Congress and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) for their anti-Punjab and anti-Sikh stance, Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal on Wednesday exhorted the people to give crushing

defeat to these forces for safeguarding the future of their coming generations.

Addressing the gathering during a political conference to mark Gurta Gaddi Diwas of Guru Angad Dev, Badal reminded the people that Congress had irrelevantly meddled in their political, social, economic and even religious affairs.

He said that there was no parallel in world history when the government of a country had attacked its own religious shrine as done by Congress on Sri Darbar Sahib adding that even no government could perpetrate the carnage of its own people as done by Congress in 1984 when several innocent Sikhs were mercilessly killed by mob at the behest of Congress leadership.

likewise, Badal said that that AAP was also suffering from anti-Sikh syndrome which was reflected

through series of steps taken by its leadership.

Chief Minister cautioned the people that both these parties were now hell bent upon ruining the state. “Even those forces that want to disturb the hard earned peace of state are hobnobbing with these parties to bring back black days in the state,” said Badal while calling upon the people to thwart the

attempt of these forces and secure the future of their younger generations.

Coming down heavily on the state Congress leadership, Badal asked the people not to trust the Congress leaders who were “chronic liars”, adding that “going by anti-Punjab track record of Congress, one thing is sure that anyone who supports Congress is inimical to state and its people”.

‘ENTIRE COUNTRY MUST UNITE AGAINST TERROR STRIKE’

Terming Uri Terror attack as an attack on sovereignty and integrity of country, Badal said that the entire country must unite against such attack. “The need of hour is that entire country should unite against such attack. In case of any war between India and Pakistan, Punjab would naturally be the worst sufferer,” he said.

NO MOVE REGARDING APPOINTMENT OF NEW SGPC CHIEF

On the issue of SGPC, Badal said that there was no move regarding the appointment of its new chief. “After recent judgment of the Supreme Court on Sehajdhari issue, the Centre would issue notification for the new house of SGPC after which the meeting of apex Sikh body would take place,” he said.

MAJITHIA ATTACKS CAPT; DESCRIBES AAP AS PAAP PARTY

Punjab Revenue Minister Bikram Singh Majithia slammed the former Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh saying that during his tenure as Chief Minister, he has turned a blind eye towards these towns and cities, and as Chief Minister, he never ever visited these places. Presenting dismal record of Capt Amarinder as representative of people, Majithia said that though the inaccessible Captain was suddenly trying to show his presence through posters across the state.

Describing AAP as “Paap Party”, Majithia exhorted the people to beware of their tantrums else the state would be ruined. Assailing AAP for its anti-Sikh stance, Majithia said that the poor track record of AAP government in Delhi was a proof that these leaders were big fraudsters.
