With a view to keep a check on the incidents of crime against women, a special taxi service for the women passengers would be started in Gurgaon. The taxis would have women drivers. An official spokesman on Monday said that Gurgaon district administration, TATA Motors, RUDSET Institute and Banks would all work together under the new proposal.
The spokesman said that on the appeal of district administration, RUDSET has invited applications from the women drivers who intend to run these taxis. While RUDSET would impart 21 days training to these women, TATA Motors would make arrangement of space and trainers.
